EMDR Therapy

If certain memories feel just as vivid now as when they happened—or if you're stuck in a loop of reactivity or shutdown—EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) offers a proven way to release the emotional charge and reconnect with a sense of safety.
EMDR therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences and restore emotional balance. Originally developed for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), EMDR is now widely used to treat complex trauma, chronic illness, pain-related anxiety, and medical trauma.
Many clients seek EMDR when they feel stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by past experiences, or unable to sleep due to trauma-related stress. EMDR works by targeting unprocessed memories that continue to activate the body’s threat system, helping the brain store them more adaptively.
Sessions are available in person at our integrated health care clinic in Calgary AB or online for clients across Alberta.
