Somatic therapy—also known as body-based therapy or nervous system therapy—is a trauma-informed, body-centered approach that supports emotional regulation, trauma resolution, and reconnection with the physical self. It is ideal for individuals who experience chronic pain, autoimmune symptoms, fatigue, or trauma-related physical tension.

Many clients describe feeling disconnected from their bodies, experiencing constant hypervigilance, or cycling through emotional shutdown and overwhelm. Somatic therapy calms overactive stress responses, reduces flare-ups triggered by emotional or physical stressors, and helps rebuild trust in the body. It’s especially supportive for those who feel unsafe or numb in their physical experience.
